Urban planner Gent Karpata was invited this Saturday to the "Review" show on Euronews Albania to talk about the increase in the reference price for buildings and the quality with which new constructions are being made.
He spoke, among other things, about the burning of the building in the area known as 21-Djetori in Tirana, where he said that the material used there is based on oil.
" We know that most of our housing units do not have an internal road system through which the fire department can enter. The first problem is not the material. All over Europe we have old wooden buildings that are much more flammable, but the material is second, that if we had a fire extinguishing system this damage could have been avoided.
Polystyrene is based on petroleum, it is built as a material that burns. Here we have a crime. But this is resolved as the whole world has resolved, there are approved technical conditions that must be implemented ", Gent Karpata said.
