A serious incident happened in the village of Sheqeras in Maliqi. Edison Sheme, the father of 4 children for 4 years, is suspected of sexually abusing a minor, aged 12-16.
Only in the last few days, the minor has denounced the flagrant case, in the presence of parents and psychologists, showing everything that has happened to her for 4 years.
The accused's wife denied the veracity of the accusations in an interview for Euronea Albania. She said that everything was made up by the village chief due to conflicts with her husband.
" I am Edison's wife. It is not true for me, my husband is a regular family man. To me it is slander, all slander. They are slander from other people, from the village chief because there was a fight before. That day there was a trial together and he failed to do the trial, it was closed, they got what they wanted and left Edison with a black spot that he doesn't have at all. We know each other, fellow villagers, not at home, but in warehouses, children played with my children. The minor girl and the other girl used to come and play with my children. I have never spoken to them, not recently. The last time I spoke to Edison was yesterday, he told me they have accused me. We don't know what happens. All this is a lie. I call on the girls, they are small, not to tarnish their honor for money, to preserve their dignity. This will follow them wherever they are, they cannot escape. They destroyed me, but I have my family, I will fix it again, but what do they do? I wish the truth will come out as it is, not as they want to do it ", said the wife to "Euronews Albania".
