A 48-year-old man was arrested by the police after being accused of posing as SPAK prosecutor to extort money from citizens in exchange for solving their 'problems'.
According to the Prosecutor's Office of Berat, the 48-year-old identified as Alban Muço, a resident of Tirana, appeared at the Cadastre offices in this city, claiming to be a prosecutor in the Special Prosecutor's Office and promising to intervene in solving cases or problems in exchange for money.
According to the prosecutor's office, the 48-year-old has a criminal record and was previously convicted for the criminal offenses of "Appropriation of title or state office" and "Fraud", taking money from various citizens by claiming to be a special prosecutor.

The Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance, Berat, in cooperation with the specialists for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes, arrested the AM citizen under the charge of the criminal offense of 'Fraud' and 'Appropriation of state title or office'.
According to the prosecution, the citizen in question appeared at the offices of the State Cadastre Agency (ASHK) in this city, claiming to be a prosecutor in the Special Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office (SPAK) and promising to intervene in the resolution of issues or problems in exchange for money.
From the investigations carried out by the Prosecutor's Office, it turned out that this citizen with criminal precedents and previously convicted for the criminal offenses of "Eappropriation of title or state office" and "Fraud" took money from various citizens by claiming to be a prosecutor in Special Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office.
As a result of the investigative actions, the arrest was made in flagrante delicto of the citizen AM, 48 years old resident in Tirana, for the criminal offenses of "Appropriation of title or state office" and "Fraud", the announcement states.
