The prosecution has requested information from international partners regarding the execution of Gentian Bejtja. The investigations into his murder in March of this year, in the village of Larushk in the apartment, have stalled precisely in Dubai.
All information leads to the United Emirates, regarding the order for his execution. The data received, but also the failure to find some important persons for the investigation to interrogate them, have raised suspicions at the prosecution, for which information has also been requested from the partners.
The two arrested by the police are believed to have been the transporters of at least three executioners whom the prosecution suspects come from the city of Vlora. Although until this stage the investigators are reserved about the information received, the work has also been extended to Vlora, regarding the finding and arrest of the suspects.
Five days after the murder, the police handcuffed Edison Haxhiu and a 41-year-old man with three names, Ilir Beqaraj. The two arrested were previously convicted for other criminal offences.
The police managed to clarify their movement after burning the off-road car, where three Kalashnikovs were also found. Although Ilir Beqaraj is suspected of being one of the perpetrators who participated in the execution, he denied having anything to do with the murder. Initially, Haxhiu and Beqaraj said that their golf car had a GPS tracker and that it was not at the scene of the incident, but after verification it turned out that it was very close to the place where Gentjan Bejtja was killed.
The 43-year-old was the target of three other assassination attempts, but escaped the bullets and explosives. A year ago, in a Golf type vehicle, three people followed him to the vicinity of the house, but shot dead his brother-in-law Ramazan Sino and injured Bejtje's two sons, 10 and 13 years old. Valter Bami, Durim Bami's brother, was arrested after this event on July 3.
At that time, the 37-year-old's hands after the chemical examination showed that there were traces of gunpowder in his hands, but even this was not enough to keep him in prison. After the execution of Bejtja, on March 15 of this year, the police returned to question Valter Bami, but never found him.
According to the State Police, 43-year-old Gentjan Bejtja was suspected of being involved in the theft of the vehicle that was used in the murder of police commissioner Dritan Lamaj. After the series of assassinations, he sought asylum in Norway and Sweden, but his requests were rejected. /A2
