The head of "Open Data Albania", Aranita Brahaj, expressed her skepticism about how the changes in the new Criminal Code of the Republic of Albania are being drafted.
She stated in the 'Debate' with Alba Alishan that for the creation of this important document, work is being done incorrectly by a narrow group of people who do not represent all areas.
Brahaj added that there are doubts that the creation of this narrow structure may have other purposes, which may be to create different facilities in the law, for the persons who are currently in front of the doors of justice.
" Work is being done in the wrong way, the work group consists of 10 people. This group is being led by various people and the group of opponents who are mainly judges of Appeal and Serious Crimes. There is also a think tank, but it is not a working group. The Criminal Code is the preamble to the development of a society. How can a criminal code be created without creating several tables. This is a mentality of some who think they solve things. I think there are other purposes. I think that facilities can be created for different people who are at the doors of SPAK today. They are trying to minimize the importance of the Penal Code ", said Brahaj.
