Construction flows in Tirana have attracted the attention of Italian media.
In a recent investigation by RAI 3, it is reported that Tirana is experiencing an unprecedented construction boom, with prices in some areas already reaching the level of 5,500 euros per square meter, the same as in Milan.
Italian media writes that this change has come about in large part thanks to the influence of Edi Rama, who served as mayor for 11 years before becoming prime minister.
The investigation brings evidence of known and anonymous investors who have benefited from this rapid development, turning Tirana into a "Milan model" in terms of the pace and format of construction.
The investigation also mentions famous Italian architects.
Specifically, it is said that a significant part of the new Tirana was designed by two famous Italian architects, Marco Casamontri, who in addition to the stadium has also realized the Alban Tower project, and Stefano Boeri, the creator of Blocku Cube and six other magnificent palaces under construction.
But while Italy's artistic contribution to the Albanian construction boom is visible to all, less clear is the origin of the money with which all these skyscrapers in Tirana are being built./Report
