Criminalistics expert, Ervin Karamuço, has commented on the process of selecting the new head of SPAK.
In an interview for the show "Ora e Fundit", Karamuço said that this time the High Prosecutorial Council has left more time for the evaluation of the candidates, about two weeks after the end of the hearing session.
He assessed that all four candidates for the leadership of SPAK enjoy integrity and high professional skills, while emphasizing that the process is being followed carefully to guarantee impartiality and transparency. According to him, Altin Dumani remains one of the strongest and most dynamic figures in this race, with a reactive profile and a high pace of work in investigations.
"This is a normal session related to these phases. In previous years, we have seen that this session was 24 hours before the new leader was voted on. Now they have given a little more time. It is thought that the KLP will be given 2 weeks from the election of the new SPAK leader. It will be seen which candidate best meets the criteria from the others.
All four candidates enjoy integrity and very good professional skills. They have a clear vision, that they must move forward according to an example and a consolidated continuity. We also have prosecutors who have received decorations from partner countries, although they are not made public. They have created an identity. They are more concerned about guaranteeing this process, so that it is impartial. I know that some things have moved within SPAK, there has also been some help from outside.
"Altin Dumani has a very strong, reactive profile, that does not stop and has a very fast pace of evidence. He has given evidence that made no difference. I do not think he will be calm, but still very problematic in the cases he has, because he has such a profile. He will be strong alongside all the prosecutors who do that job," said Karamuço.
