Pensioner Qani Shino described the government's decision to increase pensions and their indexation as a handout.
Invited to "Terminal", Shino revealed that he receives 187 thousand old lek in pension, most of which goes only for bread and medicine.
" The governments have robbed us because they have to index during the year. Prices rise. They need to index twice for the third age and for the level of pensions. I get 187 thousand old lek with 45 years of work. When we ask, we are told there is no lek. But there is lek. Most of it goes to us for medicines. We get medicines with reimbursement. When we go to the pharmacy, we tell them we want better medicines. They tell us that we will have to pay more lek from our pocket. If we don't get it, we get medicines of the last category. Working 45 years and expecting alms from others is like taking a rope and hanging yourself ," Shino said on A2 CNN.
