Action ordered from above: how the Traffic Police turned into a cashier to fill the budget and finance the pensioner bonus, hitting citizens...
After cracking down on criminal groups and "purging" the police of incriminated bosses, the Director of the State Police, Ilir Proda, has ordered the imposition of massive fines against drivers, extorting citizens, even those who comply with road traffic rules.
Initially, it was thought that the fines were being imposed to fill the police coffers before the end of the year, in order to pay for overtime and food for the police officers.
But according to information received by "Pamfleti", from sources within the General Directorate of the State Police, Ilir Proda received the order to impose as many fines as possible from Minister Albana Koçiu, while the latter received the order from Prime Minister Edi Rama.
The order has been left to the Traffic Police for implementation, with an ultimatum to impose as many fines as possible and in the highest financial amounts specified in the Traffic Code.
This "storm" of fines aims to collect the financial value of the pensioner bonus by January 31, 2026. In other words, through the fines that will be imposed on citizens, the state coffers will be replenished.
The campaign to impose mass fines, even when citizens walk and park according to traffic rules, has begun on every street, alley, public environment and building courtyard, regardless of whether traffic and parking rules are respected or not.
Every station, police station and police directorate has a fine plan, and the Traffic Police is tasked with implementing this plan, assigning each police officer a number and value of fines to be imposed on vehicles.
This police fine campaign has become so barbaric that, for example, on "Myslim Shyri" street, where there are many shops, during these holidays and on New Year's Eve, citizens loaded with goods are seen walking on foot, afraid to stop their cars for even a few seconds. This is because the police immediately appear with a pad and cell phone in their hands, ready to impose a fine./ Pamphlet
