Flu and seasonal viruses, doctor raises alarm: Children most affected,

Pediatrician Sonila Brati spoke about the health problems brought on by summer, emphasizing the increase in cases of viruses in children, but also the impact on adults and the elderly.

Brati says that although these viruses pass more quickly than winter ones, children should see a doctor if they have these symptoms: high fever, sore throat, cough, and upper respiratory tract infections in general.

"In the summer there are quite a few problems among children, but I think that even among adults, the elderly and those with chronic illnesses, the problem is not only with children, but children are the ones who are most affected and perhaps are more exposed, they are more in contact with other children, which means that they still continue to attend daycare centers or kindergartens in the summer, but summer really has some viruses.

Parents probably try to take it easier in the summer than in the winter. Sometimes they try to let their children run free, whether on the beach or in other environments, unlike in the winter when you gather them at home and try to be more careful with the child.

"What we are actually noticing these days is that viruses have returned. We have had a very busy year, but even these days, children who have high fever, sore throat, cough and generally upper respiratory tract infections are the ones that predominate ," she told "Ora News".
