The National Food Authority (AKU) has issued a new response regarding the serious poisoning incident of 56 Security Academy trainees in Sauk a few days ago.
The AKU announces that the investigations are continuing step by step in collaboration with other responsible institutions and that after taking samples of food supplied by the Sori-Al company, the authority has also conducted sampling of the network water, which will be subjected to microbiological analysis.
To complete the investigation, the Institute of Public Health (IPH) has taken samples for testing the hygiene of the food preparation areas. The results of these analyses are expected to be made public once the process is complete.
The AKU announces that it is awaiting the results from the ISUV laboratory for the food samples, while close communication continues with the IHP and the NJVKSH for the epidemiological investigation report. This report is considered an essential element to identify the possible source of infection and prevent further transmission.
