Journalist Klodiana Lala has revealed details regarding SPAK's investigations against the former Minister of Health, Ilir Beqaj.
She said that the investigations for the former minister Beqaj will also extend to Poland, as it is suspected that some transactions were carried out there.
Lala also said that from the interception of 5 people, it was found that the tenders and funds of the Ministry of Health were used by the former minister to carry out transactions in various companies.
According to her, the likelihood is that the measures against Beqaja will be toughened.
"We remember that since noon yesterday, by order of SPAK, BKH and the police are exercising control in the premises of the "Delta Pharma" pharmacy, but also in several other pharmacies, mainly in Tirana. The control comes thanks to a new criminal investigation, after the indications that SPAK has received, where it is suspected that at the time when Ilir Beqaj was the Minister of Health, he signed client contracts with these pharmacies.
"Yesterday, control was exercised in the apartment of the former minister. The phones and computers of the former minister and his wife were seized. Controls were also carried out at 'Delta Pharma'. It is suspected that Beqaj is the ultimate beneficiary of several million euros that may have been transacted in various companies. Issues related to tenders and funds of the Ministry of Health are also being considered. According to the investigation, it turned out that 5 suspects were intercepted. It is expected that the investigations for the former minister will also extend to Poland, where it is believed that some transactions were made. There are at least 27 checks that were carried out yesterday and that continue today. The investigations are continuing and it is likely that the measures against Beqaj will be toughened," said Lala for "News 24".
