Journalist Artan Hoxha has spoken about the investigations being carried out by SPAK regarding the Tirana incinerator, for which several officials have been imprisoned, among them two from the Municipality of Tirana.
Hoxha emphasized that the mayor Veliaj is mentioned in the SPAK file against Ahmetaj, but it still does not result in the investigations for the Tirana incinerator. He said that the investigations are continuing and they are being conducted by the prosecutor Dritan Prençi.
"Veliaj's name was also mentioned in the investigation of Arben Ahmatej. In other investigations, it has not appeared until now. The prosecutor who investigated the case is the prosecutor who replaced Duman in Tropoja. They are prosecutors who know each other. Mr. Prençi, is case still under investigation.
Public opinion, due to the importance of the issue and the fact that the incinerator of Tirana has a great monetary value, but also for the spent funds, over 70 million euros, citizens are very interested in this story.
