Leonardo Beleri, the brother of the mayor of Himara, Fredi Beleri, spoke to the Greek media 'ERT' about the developments in this case and his brother's condition. He stated that they requested during the plenary sessions that a decision would be made that had participated in the previous decisions.
"Yesterday we had another court adjournment. We had requested last week, the first meeting, that it would be a court that had participated in the previous elections. So it was done, a new court was appointed, which said it did not have time to study the case file. So we got a new date for the 24th of the month" , he emphasized.
Regarding his brother's condition, he said: "He has the strength he needs, he can endure. He knows where he is, he knows what he is, but beyond that, he can't support this and dispose of Freddie's psychology. The day before yesterday the prime minister was again in Albania, we also had a resounding message, but all these data from the Greek side have not brought results".
"From the first day of Fredi's arrest until today, we are at zero, as if they are making arrests today. Unfortunately, the attitude of the Greek state has not given less. They should speak it and sit down. Those who are part of the foreign policy, of the national issues of Greece, should sit down and see that I have to talk and work in this country. There are measures to be taken at the diplomatic and economic level. If we all believe that what has happened is unjust, if we have to do something that has to be done", Beleri added .
Also, he showed the problems encountered in the population census.
"We have to behave according to the one in front of us. As they behave, so do you. We pamper them for five months. Either we have an ethnic Greek minority up there or we don't. If we want to be a guaranteeing force in the Balkans, as we say we are, we will have to give a Balkan. We do not expect Mr. Rama to go and build the statue of Konstantinos Mitsotakis in Dervitsani at a time when human rights are being violated and registration is being done in Albania. What is being done with the population census is unprecedented.
