Judge Irena Gjoka's request to recuse herself from the criminal case against former Defense Minister Fatmir Mediu has been rejected.
Deputy President of the GJKKO, Erjon Bani, after reviewing Judge Gjoka's request, dismissed it with the argument that it is not in the conditions of incompatibility.
The decision was reported by Judge Irena Gjoka herself at this Wednesday's session.
Prosecutor Klodian Braho reported on some of the written evidence that he requested to be part of the judicial review, while the hearing was postponed to December 9 to continue with this procedural moment.
Earlier, the GJKKO also rejected the request of Fatmir Mediu's lawyers to exclude Irena Gjoka.
After this, Gjoka himself requested to be removed from the case with the argument that he had reviewed the same file in a preliminary phase, but his request was rejected.
