Asked to be released from the cell, the Supreme Court dismisses Lefter Alla's appeal

The Supreme Court has decided not to accept the appeal for changing the security measure for the former mayor of Bulqiza, Lefter Alla.

We remind you that Alla, together with 12 other people, were arrested for violation of equality in tenders and abuse of office for the tender of 322 million lek, which benefited the businessman's relative for the construction of the supply network and the distribution network of Waterworks. 

It is about the tender for the rehabilitation of the water supply network in one of the neighborhoods in Bulqiza.

Lefter Alla was arrested on March 15, 2023 together with 12 people, 7 of whom were former municipal officials.

It is suspected that he, in cooperation with other former officials, favored two companies during the public procurement procedure in order to then carry out the works for the water pipeline to the company 'OE 2AF Albania shpk', which is under the administration of Alla's relative, Aqif Cones. The companies that won the tender were 'BOE Egland shpk' and 'BE-IS shpk'.
