As the meeting at the KLP has begun to elect the new head of SPAK, representatives of the German embassy have not yet arrived, leaving the seats empty.
It is learned that they are expected to be present only during the voting.
Meanwhile, representatives from the US, EU, Netherlands and Great Britain are participating in the meeting.
Four candidates have applied to be selected as leaders of SPAK, Elvin Gogaj, Adnand Xholi, Doloreza Musabelliu and Klodian Braho.
For the first time, a woman is running for the leadership of SPAK. Currently, the candidate Adnan Xholi is presenting his platform to the members of the KLP, where he promised to advance the fight against corruption and organized crime. Xholi said that it is important to eradicate the culture of impunity, while as a priority he also presented the protection of prosecutors, whom he said are victims of unjust attacks.
Altin Dumani was elected head of SPAK on December 18, 2022 and is the second prosecutor to head SPAK since the establishment of the Special Structure, after Arben Kraja. The chief prosecutor's mandate is 3 years and without the right to re-election.
