Artan Hoxha says that a large number of Albanian criminals have fled to Dubai, among them some of the "heads" of crime.
Invited to the show "The Unexposed" on MCN TV, Hoxha said that they cannot be extradited and that they live "in an open prison with a temperature of 50 degrees Celsius".
"Dumani said that there are seven people in Dubai for whom we have requested extradition. The number in Dubai is much higher than that. Seven can only have one group. Not to mention that we were at one table with seven people who were searching in Albania.
There were people who were arrested three times to be extradited and were not extradited.
For me, 60% of the most problematic people that Albania has in the world of crime are with their families in the United Emirates, mainly in Dubai. The rest are distributed between Europe, Latin America and a part that continues to stay in Albania, who are certain that they will be informed in time to avoid being caught.
Today it is a big concern and Albania must have a different approach and strategy, what they will do when the United Emirates will decide, because they cannot stay there forever. It has become a world problem, Albanians are a drop of water in the ocean.
We must be ready, when the situation changes, what we will do with them and how we will control them. A good number of them continue to control and direct the activity from Dubai. They are in contact with Albania all the time, follow the news, information, intrigues, more than when they were in Albania. They were all day pretending that they have no other work. You have nowhere to go, because the temperature is 50 degrees. There is no possibility of extradition at this time.
They are in an open "prison"... It is a fiscal, criminal paradise, but the climate there forces them, either you will be on the beach or in the mall because you have nowhere to go and you cannot leave the border of Dubai. Get out of there, other Emirates have other laws and they can extradite you", said Hoxha.
