Will the Parliamentary Commission monitor SPAK? Duman denies it: It will not

Chief Prosecutor Altin Dumani spoke about the Parliamentary Commission where it was rumored that it will also monitor SPAK.

Asked how he judges these efforts and what is his reaction, Duman denied it, saying that this will not happen. He adds that he has not seen any documents, as he states that the Special Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office is the most controlled institution in the country.

"Regardless of what is said and said, we really do not yet have a document to read and see what will be the approach regarding the justice reform. Here to make changes and set up commissions, but as long as there is no document, I do not have a position. If it happens, we will definitely have an institutional reaction. In my opinion, it is unthinkable to make changes in the justice reform while the reform is still going on.

Vetting is not over yet. KLGJ, KLP are still unconsolidated. SPAK also needs two prosecutors. Before going there, an analysis should be done. But, this is in the context of rumours, because I haven't seen the document yet. So I have no attitude.

SPAK is the most controlled institution in the republic, the most controlled. In the procedural aspect, we are controlled by three levels, let's not forget the preliminary judge, everything is done by court decision. We report to the Law Commission there, there are discussions and debates. This is the relationship with the parliament. We report KLP there. ILDKPI controls the assets", Dumani said during a meeting about the new dialogue initiative between institutions and policy-making actors.
