Journalist Sokol Bregu stated that Altin Çoku, arrested as the cause of Sibela Abedini's suicide, can only be punished with a fine.
In an interview for the show "Now" on "Euronews Albanai", he said that the problem in Albania lies in the laws which, according to him, should be tightened.
"I have a concern. I don't care about the story of the girl's suicide, nor the story of this Quasimondo, who has entered. At this moment he is in prison and the pot is under the ground. I'm worried about the future. The future is that we must increase the history of punishment. It is not the future that we only have to tell the story.
I want to say one thing, we are in a process where the parliament is meeting to change the criminal code for all those who do not understand that the law regulates the society, I am saying that we should not make a punishment for the blackmailer.
The law of causing suicide says, you must have family, you must be systematic in the violence you have exercised. We have arrested the person in question only with popular violence. I agree that he should go, but by law he would be out. There is only social pressure here , "said the journalist.
