Today's court hearing for the Gërdec massacre against former minister Fatmir Mediu was accompanied by strong debates between the parties and verbal clashes with the victims' families.
The cause of the debates was the request of the defense lawyers of the former Minister of Defense, Fatmir Mediu, to revoke the decision of Judge Irena Gjoka, who admitted the Durda family as a party.
According to Mediu's lawyers, their lawyer Dorjan Matlia is the director of "Respublika", a center that was established and financed by Soros. However, Mediu's claims were responded to by the Durda family's son, Geraldo, who asked him to leave his mandate as an MP and face justice.

Defense of former minister Fatmir Mediu: In the last session, we informed you that a practice from the US has arrived at the Ministry of Justice and we asked you as a court to request its withdrawal from the ministry. We want to know whether you have received these acts or not. After all, the Ministry of Justice has informed us that they have sent them to the High Judicial Council. They are testimonies of senior American generals, which we request to be part of the trial file.

Medi's lawyer: We have summarized a brief position on the evidence. It remains unclear to us why the victims of the criminal offense were called to testify and why they have received this status. We also do not yet have a decision from your side as to why the court has not issued a decision on the statute of limitations for the criminal offenses. We request your interim revocation of the granting of the status of victim of the criminal offenses.
Mediu: if we are based on a proper judicial process, we ask that a decision be made by you regarding the requests we have made. I have tried to be correct with the law, I cannot deny a simple fact that there are two sets of prosecutors here. I have all the respect for the family members to be participants in the hall,

Mediu: I have left my mandate once and I am here to judge. You cannot fail to express yourself as a court regarding the requests we have made.
