Dozens of complaints have been made to the police in recent days, by citizens who have received strange messages on their mobile numbers.
Criminalistics expert Ervin Karamuço, invited to "Top Talk", explained that as a result of hacking phone numbers, citizens' identities are stolen and can be used in erotic groups.
" There have been several complaints over the last few days about phone numbers of various subscribers that were previously taken and now groups have been created, advertising these phone numbers as offering erotic services. These citizens have received many phone calls from these numbers, which are mainly on the Telegram application, where they call them and say how are you... so they get in touch to create the possibility of how we can meet, etc.
Meanwhile, the citizens do not know at all what it is about. It's only when someone tells them that I saw your phone number on x site that they are alerted. The first denunciations to the State Police have begun. It's hard to find out, because the administrators are anonymous ," he said.
When the citizen's identity is distributed on these illegal sites or groups, citizens receive messages on their mobile phones, from people asking for "service".
" They even took your image on WhatsApp or Telegram, made it as a small poster, put your phone number and the services you offer. So, they take your identity data and offer it in the virtual world, so that all the 'predatory people' can turn to you and ask you for sexual favors ", explained Karamuço.
