Prime Minister Edi Rama never hesitates to highlight the extremely positive relationship he has with his Italian counterpart, Giorgia Meloni. Three days ago, during the summit of the European Political Community, Edi Rama knelt down to welcome Meloni, an action that seemed to 'embarrass' the Italian prime minister, but the photos immediately went viral.
Today, in a post, Rama announced that the benefits of the pension agreement between Albania and Italy will begin on June 1. And the Prime Minister stated on social media that his sister, as he calls Meloni, brought the final document to Tirana.
"Good news, and separated to give it the attention it deserves, outside the whirlwind of the European Political Community Summit:
"The sister brought to Tirana the final document of the long legal process on the implementation of the Pension Agreement with Italy, which means that from June 1, 2025, the Albanians of Italy will begin to benefit from this meaningful agreement for the new level of relations between Albania and Italy," Rama writes.
