A high-ranking delegation from Albania will participate today in the ceremony of the Inauguration of the Holy Papal Mission of Pope Leo XIV in the Vatican.
The Albanian delegation is headed by President Bajram Begaj and includes Foreign Minister Igli Hasani and leaders of religious communities.
The Catholic Church will be represented by Bishop Arjan Dodaj, Bishop Gjergj Meta and Bishop Simon Kulli, while the Orthodox Church will be represented by Metropolitan Nikolla and Father Ignat Todri.
The Muslim community is represented by Bujar Spahiu and Ejup Lila, while the Bektashi Patriarchate is represented by Baba Mondi and journalist Ferdinand Samarxhi.
On Monday at 9:30, the delegations will participate in the special audience with Pope Leo XIV, accompanied by the Albanian Ambassador to the Vatican, Majlinda Frangaj.
