The police have referred the materials for Democrats Edi Paloka and Klevis Balliu to SPAK, following the incident with journalists that occurred during the opposition protest on Friday in Tirana.
"They referred the materials to SPAK for citizens E. P and KB, after citizen BD, a journalist, reported that on 16.05.2025, on Bulevardi e Ri, during the protest of the political entity Democratic Party, these citizens verbally threatened her because of their duty," the police announced.
During the protest, Edi Paloka clashed with several journalists, which prompted some protesters to physically clash with them and hurled insults.
"Don't make a fuss because... Don't make a fuss here! You did it! I was a journalist 20 years before you," Paloka addressed the journalists, which prompted the citizens present to "explode" in insults.
