A 59-year-old man was put in handcuffs after taking 6 Italian tourists hostage for an hour after they damaged the furniture of the house in Saranda.
Six Italian tourists were held hostage for 1 hour inside an apartment in Saranda by the owner of the apartment.
The event took place in neighborhood No. 1, as the owner of the apartment, 59-year-old JA from Pristina, did not allow the 6 Italians to leave the apartment that was rented to him.
The owner claimed that the Italians had damaged some equipment in the apartment, and therefore held them hostage for about 1 hour.
The police, who were notified of the incident, went to the scene and arrested the 59-year-old, while also releasing the 6 Italian tourists.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Sarandë, for further actions, for the criminal offense "Illegal Deprivation of Liberty".
