He survived 30 hours under dead bodies, the Serbian doctor raped him after four

On May 24, 1999, Bislimi, along with many other brave boys who provided first aid, were the last to get on the trucks to transport the wounded to the hospital in Pristina.

Nijazi Kryeziu, is one of the young people of the student group from Prizren who saved dozens of lives during the 5 days of the massacre. He was arrested as a soldier of the KLA, was convicted in 1998 and came to Dubrava from Nishi.

On May 24, while they were getting on the truck to be transferred to another prison, they saw a pile of corpses in this place.

"First we counted the corpses and loaded all the living ones into the truck first. At this corner I saw 14 corpses, they were piled up, the only way was to count the legs", said Nijazi Kryeziu, a survivor of the Dubrava massacre.

Bedri Kokola was injured for a day and a half. He survived isolated in a coma for more than 30 hours under the corpses. He was wounded in the head, abdomen and legs.

"He remained under the corpses and the next day, when someone from the prisoners came to check the corpses, they saw that there were signs of life. When he arrived at the sports palace, he was almost dead, as his mouth was full of blood that had clotted. I put my finger in his mouth and took out some of his blood and he was full of breath and the hallucinations started", said the survivor of the Dubrava massacre, Bilim Zogaj.

Fortunately, Bedriu was able to survive, but he suffered torture beyond imagination. On May 24, they transported him to Lipjan prison, from there he went to Pristina and they operated on him.

They returned him to Lipjan again, then to Prozhevač and then to Belgrade, where he was operated on 4 times. He was operated on 1 time due to the wounds received in Dubrava. Three more times due to injuries to the surgical wounds from violence in the prison by the very doctors who operated on him without anesthesia.

"Those who operated on me, when they sent me back to prison, they told me about the whole operation and I had to do it again... this was also the mistreatment, when the doctor who operated on you beats you, when the guard surrounds you, when they operate without anesthesia, it was crime upon existing crime", said Bedri Kokola, survivor of the Dubrava massacre. / Inside Story
