Prime Minister Edi Rama's statements to the Albanian Radio Television (RTSH) have sparked strong reactions from the public, especially from influential figures in the world of art and media. One of the most direct reactions came from the well-known actor and director Mevlan Shanaj, who responded to Rama in strong tones through a post on Facebook.
"First dismiss the government that has become very dirty," writes Shanaj, referring to the scandals and investigations that have involved state institutions under the leadership of Rama's government. According to him, surrendering to RTSH is nothing more than a deliberate abandonment of the state's mission to guarantee a functional and independent public media.

First, dismiss the government that has become very dirty.
To surrender, Mr. Prime Minister, by abandoning RTSH means not seeking to join Europe. There is no country in Europe without Public Television. Rather demand the resignation of your staff than the closure of Public Television.
You should know, along with those who make you laugh, that Albanian Television was created from nothing and became the university of Albanian knowledge, even though it was under the command of politics.
The word surrender is a flattery for the artist Edi Rama. The door will be closed to him in Europe with this mentality.
