Some citizens have protested today about the construction of the 58-story tower behind the Opera and Barlet Theater. The protest started around 18:30 in order to oppose the construction of this tower.
This is the second day of citizens' protest.
"Keep your hands off the park" - said the protesters in unison.
They vowed to continue the protest.
The "Mount of Tirana" project will be built by "Nova Construction 2012", which is the owner of 91% of the shares Ilir Shtufin and 9% Kujtim Shtufin, while it will be implemented by the Danish architecture studio "Cebra", which was declared the winner among 5 companies in competition on October 1, 2022.
Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha yesterday made a statement similar to that of Shkëlqim Berisha and declared that the DP cannot dictate its agenda to anyone, except itself, as it does not seek to dictate to others.
"The mountain of Tirana has divided into three positions. A party that was in favor of construction from the moment the government approved the project. A party involved in the debate says that behind the project there are secret connections of people from the pulpit who, according to them, have been bought by the government and that is why they are silent. While in the third group are those who are supposed to have been bought and so far have not taken any serious step to distance themselves and silently approve the tower", said Berisha.
