The lawyer of the former Prime Minister Berisha, Genc Gjokutaj, has raised doubts about a possible criminal connection between a judge of the Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime and a wanted man from the justice system in Vienna, Austria.
In a post on Facebook, Gjokutaj writes that the judge was mentioned in the messages of a phone seized by SPAK during an operation in the home of an arrested person.
According to the lawyer, the messages reveal the judge's bargaining with a person who was promised an amount of 500,000 euros, in favorable exchange for a candidate for prison in Vienna, who is involved in fraud.
Gjokutaj adds that, although this evidence is in the hands of one of SPAK's prosecutors, no action has been taken so far, raising questions about the reasons for this inaction. He warns that the justice system is showing signs of deep corruption and that the situation is getting worse in Albania.
"Who is the judge of GJKKO who appears on a seized phone and who bargains with a candidate for prison wanted in Vienna for fraud? What about the SPAK prosecutor who has the file and does not act? Justice is being revealed, and together with it, Albania will also deteriorate", writes Gjokutaj.
