Operation "Flame in the Sea"

New details have been revealed from the "Flame at Sea" operation, where the Police hit a criminal group in Patok that trafficked narcotics from Turkey to our country and then from there to Italy and other European Union countries.

Sources from the investigative group indicate that more than 1 ton of cannabis sativa narcotics is suspected to have been sent from the Patok Lagoon.

Likewise, in the courtroom for the appointment of security measures for the 6 arrested, the prosecutor of the case, Vladimir Mara, claimed that hashish would be exchanged for the same amount of money as heroin and cocaine.

The investigators have doubts that the ship which was burned by the two Ukrainian citizens and sunk in the sea, started from Turkey, stopped in Greece, Montenegro and then in the neutral waters between Albania and Italy where the exchange of drugs would take place.

The four arrested Albanians and 2 Ukrainians have not accepted the accusations of the Prosecutor's Office. They have denied having anything to do with drug trafficking. SPAK will request information in Turkey, Greece and Montenegro about the sailing vessel named "Nilua" in order to discover the other persons involved in this case. During the operation, the police and SPAK seized two pistols, cartridges, about 50 thousand Euros and 23 kg of cannabis that was thrown into the sea by the suspects.
