SPAK to investigate the Check Up, the concession has failed and the analysis

Perhaps SPAK prosecutors also read these lines, because I am convinced that the four health concessions: Sterilization, hemodialysis, laboratories and check-up are like "two drops of water". At least in terms of the "functions" they perform for the benefit of government clients and to the detriment of the public interest.

The check up service, a sister of sterilization, is the other investigated/under investigation concession of the Ministry of Health. It is a basic medical checkup for health, which shows the parameters of our body and serves to prevent diseases from the first stages.

So a periodic diagnostic medical check-up, a very important part of health care, a check-up since 2016, it is offered free of charge to all age groups from 35-70 years old.

In this way the check up aims to determine your health status, to detect the early signs of diseases when the chances of treatment and recovery are better, to learn about the risks you may have due to family history , identifying risk factors for common chronic diseases, detecting diseases that have no obvious symptoms, and managing the diseases you have now as easily as possible. This is theoretically said when the government took care of free healthcare.

"Not a single lek from the citizens' pockets, everything will be covered by the state budget", - shouted in Parliament with a readable irony today's Much Wanted in 2015. That's how we came to the concession in question...

Issue 1: from about 1 thousand online services at e-Albania, about 50 are related to the word analysis and 4 of them to Covid-19. Check up is missing and do you know why? Because if the data had been entered into the system, the purpose for which this contract was signed would have been achieved, but... Various sources confirm that 40-50% of the anticipated medical checks are carried out in the country, but they are billed and overbilled a lot more than that...

Even KLSH has ascertained payments for incomplete services, just like in other concessions... Similarly, the use of buildings/working environments, water, energy, etc., which were owned by the state, but the "good will" of turned political leaders into a gift for the private company...

Issue 2: even with a request under the information law, the Ministry of Health refuses to provide any information on the performance of its concessions, including check-ups. It is not that they do not know what is required, but they are not interested in transparency towards the public. It is understood that the decision-making on the technical and professional findings of the check-up (if there were any) is not even in the focus of this institution.

Issue 3: is it true that family doctors are officially ordered to complete the number of patients in their territory in order for the "winning" company to collect the state budget? Such an order has been written and commented on in the press, but that's all. The Department of Health is silent...

I have never performed the check-up control, maybe like me there are hundreds and thousands of other Albanians, victims of bad governance.

Perhaps SPAK prosecutors also read these lines, because I am convinced that the four health concessions: Sterilization, hemodialysis, laboratories and check-up are like "two drops of water". Go SPAK go!
