Operation in Elbasan, Ngjela: SPAK is hitting crime and massive corruption

Lawyer Spartak Ngjela has commented on the SPAK action in Elbasan and the execution of 19 arrest warrants and two security measures, where former judges, lawyers and the former crime boss were imprisoned.

He stated that SPAK is acting. According to him, after the creation of the Special Prosecutor's Office, crime in the country has decreased.

"SPAK is in action. Crime and corruption have been very widespread, it has greatly damaged the country and the psychology of the people because crime has been uncontrolled in Albania. Now there is a decline after the exit of SPAK. There is a decrease in criminality ", said Njela for "Report TV".

While it is said that there may be other arrests from the interceptions made by the Sky and Encrochat applications, he said that it is necessary to see the evidence that will emerge from these interceptions.

"It depends on how strong the evidence is. It must be seen whether or not it is proof, not where it was taken from. Don't forget that it was Blinken who said corruption will be removed from Albania. American policy created and maintains SPAK to create a tough fight against corruption. Those who have been arrested are seen. They were not with Albania, you will hear, you will hear why they worked. We have to wait for the court proceedings where the evidence will come out", he said.

Njela also commented on the protest that took place this afternoon for the murder of 14-year-old Martin Cani. He said that criminality among young people has increased and there should be an investigation by the state.

"It was an event among teenagers, but how a young person can become a killer is serious. Those who suffered have the right to seek justice. But why has criminality passed to young ages, do you know the reasons? We have to wait until the end to see what happened, justice requires state commitment ", said Ngjela.
