A major anti-drug operation, codenamed 'Ura', has been carried out in Albania and Italy, where 52 arrest warrants have been issued.
Immediately after, another action led to the arrest of 7 people involved in organized crime, including Xhevdet Plaku and Flobens Meçe.
To discuss these operations and who are the people who control crime in Albania, in a direct link to "Ora News", was journalist Julian Kasapi. He stated that the file came copied from the Italian prosecution and that the Albanian authorities had only the duty to implement the arrest warrants.
" Operation "Ura", but also the operation of the Durrës police this afternoon, are to be welcomed because in fact the second operation, that of the Durrës police, arrested persons who were wanted by the Special Prosecution Office in the framework of the "Golden Bullet" file. Meanwhile, operation "Ura", conducted by the Italian authorities who once again showed that they know how to conduct comprehensive investigations, which can last up to 5 years, hit one of the most important and powerful groups that has operated over the last 10 years.
The second operation among the names is Xhevdet Plaku, who also held 25 other identities, arrested by Italian prisons and apparently living free in Albania. Plaku, in addition to international drug trafficking, is also charged with murder, for a murder that occurred in 2010 and for which an assassination attempt was organized against Plaku in 2019, which failed. Among other names, an interesting name is that of Flobens Meçia. Meçia appears in SKY wiretaps where he is asked by the Çopia tribe to execute one of the other exponents, who is now also arrested by SPAK. It is about Erion Alibeji.
"In my opinion, the strongest operation, the one that has hit one of the untouchable groups in Albania over the last 10 years, is Operation "Ura", where the Italian investigation handed over to the Albanian authorities all the names involved in international trafficking ," said Kasapi.
