The Legal Secretary of the Democratic Party, Indrit Sefa, said that the Democratic Party has no evidence of manipulation or election theft. According to him, the goal of the DP is only to keep President Sali Berisha in office.
Indrit Sefa said that the DP is "shedding crocodile tears" for Ilir Alimehmet and if they were serious, both Flamur Noka and Belind Këlliçi would make way for him.
Regarding the new parties, Sefa stated that they have focused the battle more on conflicts between them, rather than on unification, with pre- and post-election strategic errors that lead them to a dynamic of disintegration.
"The Democratic Party has no evidence of the theft of the May 11 elections. But the DP simply wants to keep President Sali Berisha in office so that he does not leave. The DP made the electoral system itself, it requested it itself, the SP did not. The DP was aware from the beginning that it would not win the elections. They cry crocodile tears for Ilir Alimehmeti, they pretend to cry. Let Belind Këlliçi resign and let Dr. Alimehmeti enter parliament, if they regret it as they say. The DP has proposed this system, with a closed list so that they themselves are in and an open one, where others work for votes so that they enter," Sefa told "Report TV".
