Other details have emerged from the execution of 57-year-old Pjetër Kaza, who was shot with a barrage of bullets in the yard of his apartment on Sunday, June 1.
On the show "Në Shënjestër", journalist Klodiana Lala announced that Kaza had just left his job at the mine and, like every evening, was returning to his apartment in Tale, Lezha, where he lived with his family.
It was 1:00 AM on June 1st when, as he was about to open the large gate of his apartment, just a few steps away from the entrance to the house, 12 bullets were fired from a firearm towards his body, taking his life without giving him any chance of escape, piercing him from all sides.
It is believed that the perpetrator or perpetrators used a firearm with a silencer to prevent the shots from being heard, as the bullets were not heard by anyone, not even by his family members who had to wait for breakfast to realize that their relative had tragically lost his life at the door of the apartment, while they were waiting for him to return to the apartment as usual.
Police collected at least 12 bullet casings at the scene and obtained the first evidence of the crime.
The first to respond to investigators was the victim's wife, who confirmed that she found her husband murdered at 5:00 AM, even though she had not heard any noise to draw her attention.
"The victim's wife states that she found her husband murdered in the early hours of the morning, and the car was still running. She said that her husband was not guarded because he had lost two brothers to blood feuds and the third was in prison," states the testimony of Pjetër Kazë's wife before the investigative group.
The murder of Pjetër Kazë once again brought back the frightening shadows of a blood feud between the Kaza and Gjini tribes that has been going on for over 30 years, which has produced 5 victims to date.
The clash between the Kaza tribe and the Gjini tribe has its genesis in the distant year 1994. A full 31 years ago, the time when a blood feud began that seems to continue even today.
