Lawyer Romeo Kara commented on Tuesday afternoon on the continued attacks by Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha against SPAK and the head of this institution, Altin Dumani, whom the Democratic Party leader recently called part of the "Troplin gang."
The lawyer emphasized that Berisha's anathematizations are a method of the latter to prevent them from proving his guilt in the "Partizani" affair.
"This is the essence of Berisha and Berishism at the same time, that is, denigration, smearing, so at the moment it doesn't matter if it is an institution, a person, even a country, we have seen it with the American ambassador, the Secretary of State, with America itself, with any person who has been against its interests, you will initially face his denigration. And if Berisha labels you as such, from my experience, I think we should have even better considerations for Dumani," Kara said on the "Frontline" show on Report TV.
He continued, adding that "now Berisha means that there is no substantive accusation, there is a person, sometimes a person, sometimes an institution that SKAP tells him, which are not up to the proper standards according to him, to raise an accusation, the accusation does not stand. If we look at it, he only deals with Irena Gjoka, who ultimately only dealt with the measure of arrest. He did not deal with the trial in substance. He will denigrate and give messages to all those who will be involved further in the process", he added.
The lawyer's statement was strong, saying that before Berisha handed over power, he removed the "Partizani" affair file from the "files" of the justice system.
"If SPAK becomes SPAK as I think, the gentleman would not have the courage to articulate even a single word. He knows that it is a weak SPAK and that it still has ground to do its Berishism. For the most important privatization in Albania, how can the file disappear? I have recreated the file from scratch. Apparently when the government changed in 2013, they disappeared the file. I took it to the General Prosecutor's Office, they took it to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office, they put a prosecutor who is shamelessly still in the system today. They disappeared it, it was not in the Ministry's protocol where it should be. I created it from scratch. I did research in 7-8 institutions and in the media, there were 70 thousand pages that were built in the proper investigative form, and then it was compressed into 600-700 pages," said the lawyer.
