Former guard Paro Laçi has stated that Sali Berisha ordered the hostage taking of Azem Hajdari several times in 1996.
Laçi shows the moment when he was present and stopped the hostage-taking of the leader of the student movement Azem Hajdari. In fact, he says that in one case his wife also intervened arguing with the people who were ordered to take him hostage.
Paro Laçi also states that Berisha intended to kill him.
"There was an attempt to take Azem Hajdari hostage in 1996. Once I was present at Rogner's and I stopped him. He was going to be taken hostage and I don't know where he would be taken, a case in the student town, where the buildings are on December 21. It was Flamur Noka, as a student with Azem Hajdari, I have been present since I allowed that group in. Immediately after the museum, where my wife also intervened, I got rid of the guys who had come to take him hostage for them killed", said Paro Laçi for "Report TV".
