Today, the former President is on trial in front of SPAK head Altin Dumani and prosecutors Arben Kraja and Sotir Kllapi.
All three of them are prosecutors who investigated the case against him.
Today, a clash of 'titans' is expected, between Ilir Meta, who from time to time since his press conferences has harshly attacked the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, who is also the prosecutor of the case.
Meanwhile, the "arbitrator" of this case will be the judge Erjon Çela. He will decide whether Meta will stay in prison or give a lighter sentence.
According to the journalists attending the session at GJKKO, Meta spoke in harsh tones in the courtroom.
The former President appeared tense in front of the black squads in the sessions for the verification of the measure that started at 09:30.

Meanwhile, the session has been postponed until 1:30 p.m., as the lawyers have asked for time to familiarize themselves with the documents.
SPAK's accusations against Meta
The Special Prosecutor's Office accuses former president Ilir Meta of corrupt influences and monetary benefits.
In the 176-page file, SPAK says that the criminal offenses of corruption, money laundering and non-declaration of assets have been proven in several cases.
First, regarding CEZ's agreement with DIA, SPAK says that it has administered evidence that Meta, at the time he was Minister of Economy and Energy, benefited from corruption in the form of businessman Kastriot Ismailaj, in the capacity of administrator of the DIA company.
This suspicion, according to the prosecution, is also proven through several interceptions carried out years ago, among which 1 in 2009. In SPAK, it says that Meta, through an SMS, asks the businessman, Ismailaj, for money.
According to the prosecution, the close relationship between them is also proven by their trip to the Czech Republic, where SPAK suspects that the agreement between CEZ and DIA began.
Another issue in the investigative file is that of the medical expenses of the former couple, Ilir Meta and Monika Kryemadhi, in the amount of about 106 thousand Euros, money that has not been declared by them. These expenses were discovered by SPAK and reflected in the voluminous file.
Also other expenses reflected in the investigation material, is the payment of 400 thousand dollars made by LSI for lobbying in the USA, but which was not made through the accounts of LSI.
Among the episodes that SPAK claims that the former President has committed the criminal offense of corruption and money laundering is the intervention when he was the speaker of the assembly for the introduction of a private company in the optical fiber market as well as the purchase of a duplex in the area of the former block .
These accusations raised by SPAK, the former President himself, Ilir Meta, has rejected and called them political. Former President Meta was arrested at noon on Monday on the Durrës-Tirana highway, near the Kamza bend, as the police used force to detain him.
