Stop the concrete forest in Drilon Park!
I have just been introduced to the project of the Kontakt company, which will build a series of 12-story buildings in the area planned for forests and parks between Drilon and Tushemishte. Why should we stop in time?
1. There can't be forests and towers together, concrete and a park. Either one or the other! UNESCO has banned construction in this area and classifies it as an area of natural, environmental importance and part of the world heritage.
2. Transparency and consultation with residents regarding the transformation of this area and the Administrative Unit have been zero.
3. We can't just sell tourists studios and concrete, they come for the habitat, nature, tranquility, the lake, seagulls and clean air. If we kill these with concrete, we have automatically killed the tourism of the area.
Since we are still in the election period, I invite all candidates for MPs in Pogradec, regardless of political party, to join the battle to stop the concrete forest. Tomorrow will be too late for everyone!
