Numerous police forces have surrounded the News24 building, where a series of other media outlets also operate, within the same media company.
Dozens of police forces, according to reports from News24 journalists, have surrounded the building, preventing employees from entering.
It is learned that the premises where News24 and other media outlets such as Panorama, BalkanWeb, Gazeta Shqiptare operate have been transferred to the 'KAYO' company, which was created by a government decision and its activity will be for the production and trade of weapons.
This seems to be the reason why this entire police operation to evict the media group is being led by Ardi Veliu, the former Director General of the State Police, who is also the director of the KAYO company.
According to News24, the police did not allow journalists to enter the editorial office premises, depriving them of the opportunity to carry out their work. It is also alleged that the police forces do not have any court decision or prior notice regarding these actions, which are considered arbitrary.
Arbitrary actions have continued with the interruption of electricity supply, which paralyzes the normal activity of the media.
