A 4-year-old child was taken to the hospital without any signs of life. According to preliminary data, the minor was from the Palasa area and had been showing flu-like symptoms for about a week, accompanied by diarrhea, vomiting and high fever.
The initial forensic examination did not reveal any signs of violence or external injuries. Forensic examinations are currently being conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
"The materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, after on 06.02.2026, a 4-year-old child was taken to the Vlora Regional Hospital without signs of life. The preliminary examination did not find any signs of violence or other injuries. Further forensic examinations are ongoing to determine the cause of the death. The procedural materials were referred to the Vlora Prosecutor's Office for further action," the police announced.
