The High Prosecutorial Council has given its 'ok' to the candidacy of 4 names in the race for the head of the Special Prosecutor's Office, who meet the criteria set for this position. Thus, the KLP has confirmed that Adnan Xholi, Elvin Gokaj, Doloreza Musabelli and Klodian Braho can continue the race for the head of SPAK.
At the KLP meeting, Sokol Stojani, chairman of the Career Development Commission, emphasized that there are 4 candidates in the race who meet the requirements. According to him, the applicants must be SPAK prosecutors and not managers.
He also emphasized that another condition is that candidates must have presented a platform and not have been subject to disciplinary measures.
"We propose to the council the approval of the list of candidates to head SPAK," he said.
Before Stojani gave his assessment of the 4 candidates, KLP member Zeqir Hoda said he would leave the meeting because it needed to be assessed whether or not he was in a conflict of interest. Hoda said that he personally did not think he was in a conflict of interest, but that this needed to be assessed.
"In order to obtain the necessary information, I believe I should withdraw from the session's vote on this issue. I am staying since the procedure has not been opened," said Hoda, who then left.
After the stance expressed by Hoda, another member of the KLP, Vatë Staka, reacted and said, "Hoda submitted a media release. Some media published 3 days ago that one of the candidates who applied for the head of SPAK... I am not able to say whether he is in a conflict of interest or not, but we will judge him in a special session."
This means that the KLP has to make a decision regarding whether or not member Hoda will be in the voting process at the session where the vote for the head of SPAK will be held. KLP member Sokol Stojani said that in order to make a decision we need documentation, written requests or written proposals, which we do not have today.
"We have to make a decision based on something written," Stojani said.
To elect the new head of SPAK, a simple majority of votes from the members present at the meeting is sufficient, but their minimum number must not be less than 7, in order to be considered the necessary quorum.
The pamphlet has made public facts according to which Klodian Braho, one of the candidates in the race for head of SPAK, headed the evaluation committee for candidates targeting the BKH, more specifically for financial investigators.
On September 29, in the final list of candidates for the position of "Financial Investigator", Ditmir Hoda's name appears among the 15 most highly rated candidates, ranking 6th.
Ditmir Hoda is the son of Zeqir Hoda, a member of the KLP, whose vote could be decisive for the election of the head of SPAK. / Pamphlet /
