Former police chief Shemsi Prençi said that the murder of the 23-year-old in Vlorë was not more than 200 meters away.
He said that no matter how professional the killer who executed Gëzim Sinomat was, the way he committed the murder with a single bullet makes you think he was not far away.
Prençi also said that since the murder happened in Vlorë, it is more likely a sign of revenge against his father, who was a member of the Gaxhai gang in 1997.
" The execution of this person took place in Vlora. I mostly lean towards the fact that it was done because of his father.
In terms of the method of execution, considering that a long weapon was used, regardless of whether it was a rifle with binoculars or a sniper, this does not mean that it was done from a long distance, since the method of execution of the young man, regardless the reliability that a sniper or rifle with binoculars can have, however skilled the killers are, they do not trust distances of more than 200 meters.
The execution is done accurately and with one bullet. From the information we have so far, it is believed that the shooting is from top-down to the horizontal. The entry hole and the exit hole to the victim means that it could have been made by a car, or by a building on the second or third floor ," said Shemsi Prençi.
