Journalist Milaim Zeka has spoken about the tragic case of Bedrie Loka, the 41-year-old who ended her life by drinking phototoxin after bullying her on social networks and constant violence from her husband.
He said that domestic violence is common in Albania and he even said that he knows MPs and politicians who use violence against women or even against their children.
"All this produces violence in the ordinary citizen who trusts the magic television box. Then if we move on to the vast majority of deputies of the Assembly of the Republic of Albania, at least 50% of the politicians and deputies in Albania and Kosovo, are people who have records of beating their girlfriends, of raping them, of raping their children and others and others.
I know a lot of politicians who have raped their girlfriends, either their mistresses or their wives. We have a lot of lawyers who are called as analysts in television studios who, in addition to practicing domestic violence, who beat their wives and girlfriends, are big users of cocaine" , said Zeka to "Euronews Albania".
