Former prosecutor Eugen Beci analyzed the court decision on the Elbasan incinerator affair, where Lefter Koka and a number of officials were convicted, while Alqi Blako was declared innocent.
In an interview for the show "Te Paespozuarit", Beci stated that the court decision showed the government, specifically Prime Minister Rama who has declared that he is "proud of the incinerators", that the concession never existed and that the incinerators were financed from the state budget. It was also proven that the prosecution procedure was illegal.
" The two court decisions showed those who are proud of the incinerators, that the procedure was totally illegal. The court with today's decision and the court two weeks ago, told the Albanian government that you were wrong from the beginning to the end. This whole procedure that the court gave for the criminal fact, we must say that they were built with government funds.
They came around privately, but the state budget built all the incinerators. So this is not a concession, with a court decision it is clear. With this decision, the shares of the two companies were seized and nationalized. This means that money will continue to be paid.
As for what you laid out, that's how the chunking part of the sentences would go. We had the same criminal record. We have the same evidence, the same subjects, fragmented files.
For this reason, I think that it is not these people who should face justice, but the dome that was involved in the concession procedure, which produced 17 VKM in one day. This is part of the flawed investigation. As for the punishment part, I think there is a good sign.
The court evaluates and judges what the prosecutor brings, it does not exceed. The court cannot say at this stage, you have brought the wrong people.
