Lawyer Genc Gjokutaj, the legal representative of Sali Berisha, despite being late, has broken down the scheme that SPAK used to put the former prime minister under house arrest.
In an interview for the show "Çim Peka live", on Syri Tv, Gjokutaj stated that SPAK did not go to the Parliament for the first time, to ask permission for security measures against Berisha on purpose.
According to Gjokutaj, SPAK did this trick, as they wanted to trap Berisha, to pass the responsibility of his arrest from themselves to Berisha!
" Going to the Assembly of SPAK neither more nor less definitively proved that we were right in our research, at the beginning when security measures were set, mandatory appearance and detention abroad. It has not happened in the history of Albanian justice with two coercive measures in one case. Two austerity measures do not make sense, because these two are strangely overlapping.
Knowing the attitude of Sali Berisha, not today but at the time, his political attitudes, I think that the prohibition measure 'obligation to appear' and they knew the reaction of Mr. Berisha served them, because they could not immediately impose 'house arrest' and it was 'non sense' and a trap was made, so that Sali Berisha would not appear and then to aggravate the situation.
If they made the arrest in the first place, the responsibility would be theirs. Today they played a trick. Let's start with mandatory appearance, Berisha will not go because he would find it unconstitutional.
