A day after Erion Veliaj's dismissal from office, Edi Rama summoned the deputy mayors of Tirana and Ogerta Manastirli to his office.
Journalist Anri Bala reported that Deputy Speaker Anuela Ristani left 30 minutes before the meeting ended and, according to him, she was upset.
According to him, Manastirliu is acting mayor until the elections for Tirana are held.
" There were 4 vice-chairmen and the instruction is that the 4 vice-chairmen, if the deadlines for Veliaj's dismissal are extended, due to the new code there will be another date for the elections, they can be postponed to April-May. The instruction is that Manastirliu will be in command instead of Ms. Ristani until the elections. They will vote again and we will see how the vote will be.
"Ms. Ristani came out 30 minutes early and was probably very upset by Rama's rhetoric. I believe the meeting, according to the chances, the Council of Ministers will dismiss Veliaj, as far as I know, the decision will be appealed and taken to the constitutional court, " the journalist said on "Albania Live".
