Landslides and power outages, heavy rainfall bring problems to Kukës

The rainfall that has affected the Kukes region in recent hours has caused difficulties on some road segments, but without serious problems.

According to official reports, all national road axes are open and passable.

As for the Tropoja region, the weather is expected to be cloudy, with light rain and snow in areas above 700 meters above sea level. Temperatures have dropped to 3°C.

Regardless of weather conditions, all main road axes such as B.Curri–Valbonë, Ura Bujan–Qafë Morinë (customs), Sopot–Kerrnaj, Qafë Mejdan–Tropojë–Buçaj, B.Curri–Fierzë, B.Curri–Cerrnicë and Sopot–Kam are open to traffic without interruption.

The situation in Kukes:

The current weather situation in the Kukës Region is accompanied by cloudiness, low to medium intensity rainfall and winds. There has been a fall of inert materials and stones in some road segments as a result of the rainfall. The contracting entities have worked to clean the national roads and keep them functional.

* All national road axes are open to traffic normally.

•We have no reports of any emergency problems from the municipalities of Kukës, Tropoja and Has.

•The entire Kukës Region is supplied with electricity, except for the villages of Kollovoz, Novosej, Shishtavec Municipality and the village of Topojan, Kukës Municipality, the villages of Kishaj and Pogaj, Gjinaj Municipality, Has Municipality and partly the old Tropojë Municipality.

•Drinking water supply is carried out according to the schedules determined by the Kukës Water Supply Directorate.
