New details have been published from the decision of GJKKO about the scandal in the Ministry of Health regarding the sterilization concession
In the court's decision, it is written that the former Deputy Minister of Health, Klodian Rrjepaj and the businessman Ilir Rrapaj stay outside Albania more than inside the country according to the TIMS system and the possibility of their departure is very high.
"The court assesses that we are dealing with fear, thought and reasonable suspicion that the suspects, if they are left at large, may leave to intentionally prevent or hinder the normal development of criminal proceedings, taking into account the consequences of the offense and the margin of punishment for the offense criminal that they are suspected of having consumed that is punishable by 7 and 10 years of imprisonment.
The court also considers that there is a risk that the persons under investigation, Ilir Rrapaj and Klodian Rrjepaj, will leave, avoiding justice. It is worth mentioning the fact that these people stay abroad most of the time and are not in Albania according to the TIMS system.
These people have high financial opportunities, they can easily leave the Albanian territory to live abroad. In these circumstances, the risk of leaving and hiding is extremely high", the decision reads.
We remind you that yesterday the former Deputy Minister of Health Klodian Rjepaj and the businessman Ilir Rrapaj were put in handcuffs, accused of abuse of office and fraud with serious consequences.
Meanwhile, 6 other arrest warrants have been issued for former officials of the Ministry of Health, 2 "house arrest" and 4 "compulsion to appear".
Security measures and charges against each of the former officials of the Ministry of Health:
-Klodjan Rjepaj: arrest and imprisonment for "abuse of duty"
-Ilir Rrapaj: arrest and imprisonment for "fraud with serious consequences"
- Saimir Kadiu: house arrest for "falsification of documents" and "abuse of duty"
-Marsela Serjana: house arrest for falsifying documents and abuse of office
- Arben Gjata: obligation to appear for "falsification of documents" and "abuse of duty"
- Naile Ajazi: obligation to appear for "falsification of documents" and "abuse of duty"
-Genc Byrazeri: obligation to appear for "falsification of documents" and "abuse of duty"
-Petri Mersini: obligation to appear for "falsification of documents" and "abuse of duty"
